What is a "bed-night?"

A bed-night is 1 bed for 1 night. Multiplying the number of beds times the number of nights gives you the total number of bed-nights.

Example: 2 beds for 1 night is 2 bed-nights.
Example: 1 bed for 2 nights is also 2 bed-nights.
Example: A 16-bed hut for 3 nights is 48 bed-nights.
